FDA Recalls Stuffed Olives Due to Botulism

Pure Italian, LLC, in cooperation with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), announced the recall of their Bio Gaudiano Organic Olives Stuffed with Almonds due to their potential contamination with Clostridium botulinum. This bacteria can result in botulism, a common cause of food poisoning. The FDA has recieved a report of two people being hospitalized with botulism after eating the stuffed olives with almonds. The company and the FDA are urging consumers not to use the product even if it does not appear to look spolied or bad.
